The banquet was a smashing success. The Altadena Country Club provided a magnificent backdrop for the proceedings. The night began in prayer led by Coach Chris Ring, That was followed by a splendiferous meal and in turn a moving video tribute to the team produced and rendered by Coach Kjersti Holyfield. Next were the awards highlighted by Daniel Costello and Ashley Mayo receiving the boys and girls MVP awards respectively. The evening wound down to a close with the team members presenting the coaching staff with gifts in which the standout was a multi-use equipment cart that will be put to good use in both XC and Track and Field.

The Lancer Girls Season Ends on a note of missed opportunities.

The team was lead by the 3Ms, Ashley Mayo, Abigail Marich, and Makenna Maucher.

However, this season's ending was eerily similar to the one last year, with La Salle barely missing the finals. This time not by a time of 0.01 seconds, but by one place finishing 9th and not in the advancing positions of 1st - 8th place.

Riverside showcase

At the end, we warmly saluted the final meeting of the team's seniors: Captain Noah Sisson, Captain Jane Zanteson, Bettina Lee, Alex Nino, Abby Marich, Jordan Rupp, Jacqueline Tooley, Lance Alviso, plus Hannah Howard and Ruben Gonzalez (not present). The coaches would like to thank all involved with the success of the team especially the parents whose support was unwavering and always on time. Special "shout out" to Mrs. Nino, Mrs. Brennan and team mom Mrs. Lori Zanteson without whom this season would not have been as much fun, refreshing, and organized. Hope to see all of you non-seniors next year for another thrilling chapter of La Salle XC.
